Marius George Linguraru, DPhil MA MSc loves working with multidisciplinary teams of clinicians, scientists, and engineers to create AI solutions that help children and patients with rare diseases stay healthy anywhere they are. He is the Connor Family Professor and Endowed Chair in Research and Innovation at Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC, where he leads the hospital AI initiatives and serves as Principal Investigator in the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation. Dr. Linguraru is also Professor of Radiology and Pediatrics at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He co-founded PediaMetrix Inc. and advises MGeneRx Inc., two companies focused on child well-being through AI solutions. He joined Children’s National from the National Institutes of Health, completed his doctorate at the University of Oxford, and held fellowships at the French National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology (INRIA) and at Harvard University. He has served on Boards and Committees of the Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention Society, the Latin American Society of Medical Information Processing and Analysis, the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, and the IEEE Signal Processing Society.
